The recently concluded India Runway Week season-12 was an amalgamation of swadeshi trends, chic, bold and festive . The runway was filled with glamour and celebrities like Esha Gupta, Vaani Kapoor, Neelima Azeem and Reshmi Ghosh walked for various designers.
The day 3 of this season was celebrated as Pink Day wherein the event logo was turned pink and select city walk turned all lights pink to celebrate October month for breast cancer awareness. Avon in association with India Runway Week held a conference on day 3 to talk about breast cancer awareness which was followed by pink show by designer Anupama Dayal where breast cancer survivors and supporters walked for the cause.
The trends by young and emerging designers were refereshing. Right from casual wear by newgen league like Jasleen Kaur, Kaveh by Vinay saurabh, Priyanka choudhary and festive range of young as well as emerging like Bucolic by Rituvan Gupta, Miku Kumar, saaj by Ankita, NB couture, Poonam Dubey, Ekam by Manish Gupta, Aayana by siimi, Mystique closet by Jenny saluja were enthralling. While designers Ramnik Pahwa, Irravikkai, Deepthi Ganesh, Mona Vora and Tanushay showcased mix of festive wear and cocktail wear.
Again, the sarees and swadeshi collection by various designers like Peeli kothi by ambica, Nida Mahmood, Purnima Gulati, Jaivik Naari are to treasure.
