Rashi Anand, Founder Lakshyam hosts an evening to celebrate The 6th edition of Fashion for a Cause

It was an evening again to remember and cherish, as Delhi’s Glitterati and Corporates came together to support NGO Lakshyam’s initiative “Fashion For A Cause” by Rashi Anand. It also witnessed Actor Boman Irani walking the ramp with Lakshyam kids. The event in association with Prama Jyoti Foundation which works with a similar vision to empower kids via education was spearheaded by Mr Ravi Sharma.

“Fashion for Cause 2018” a one-of-its-kind fashion show in India that brings fashion and disadvantaged children on a uniquely encouraging and celebratory platform, after a successful run of 5 consecutive years Lakshyam brought  FFC: Season-6.The evening took place on the 8th of March 2018 at The Celebrations Garden.

FFC: Season 6 brought us the delight to have women of substance walking on ramp wearing attires designed by best designers of India and holding hands of “Lakshyam’s Kids: The stars of the show”.

Some of the leading designers who walked the ramp for FFC 2015 were – Reynu Taandon, Poonam Bhagat, Vandy Mehra, Payal Jain, Niki Mahajan, Varun Bahl and Payal Bahl.

 

 The evening also saw Power Women and Men like Dr. Shikha Sharma, Fitness Expert Vesna Jacob, Samar Jodha, M.S Bitta, Dr. Lalit Bhasin, Dr Deepika Krishna, Lata Krishnamurthy, Fashion entrepreneur Mallika Jain, Priyadarshini Jain, Rita Gagwani, Business Coach Rahul Jain, IAS officer Ira Singhal to name a few too walking the ramp for the noble cause.

“This year the idea behind the event is to work for the upliftment of our new centre in Vasant Kunj which is Sindhi Basti wherein the majority of population is involved in begging and selling toys in traffic signals. The no. of children going to govt. school is just 5% and the basic facilities in the form of where their lives are bare minimum, till the extent they have to buy water for drinking or washing or bathing says Rashi Anand Founder Lakshyam.

In the hope to implement the program successfully and to raise enough resources for our beneficiaries, mainly women and children, so that they get to hold a secured future for themselves, we are hosting this show”, says Ravi Sharma Prama Jyoti Foundation.
