RADISSON NOIDA WELCOMES THE YULETIDE WITH THE ANNUAL CAKE MIXING CEREMONY

Radisson Noida, an upscale-business property of Carlson Rezidor, located in
sector 55 hosted its annual Cake Mixing Ceremony to welcome the winter festivities. Donned with
gloves and Chef caps, everyone had a congenial time mixing in kilos of dry fruits and nuts with Indian and imported spirits to prepare the mixture which will be used to bake the Christmas cakes. Thenceremony had hotel guests, corporate, business associates and the management team as part of the event.

Present at the occasion, Ramendra Pratap Singh, General Manager, Radisson Noida said, “The ceremony brings in the spirit of Christmas and the onset of the winter season. It’s a joyous occasion where friends and family come together, and we have always organized this tradition with great enthusiasm. It is enrapturing to see all chefs and guests participate in the ceremony. We have several plans for the festive season; this ceremony is just the beginning of our celebration.”

The table was decked up with huge trays of almonds, cashews, tutti-frutti, black currant, orange peel, ginger powder and cinnamon that were mixed with vodka, rum and whisky. All ingredients were poured together in a huge bowl, around which the guests had a gala time getting their hands dirty, with gloves though.

Talking about the quintessence of the ceremony Sujeet Singh, Executive Chef, Radisson Noida explained,“The cake mixing ceremony, during the erstwhile times, was considered a family tradition. We at Radisson Noida consider our guests and corporate friends a part of our Radisson family. This ceremony is not just an event but an opportunity for us to include this extended family of ours in the celebration.” He further added, “The dry fruits and nuts are soaked with a blend of Indian and imported spirits such like rum, whisky and vodka. The more the ingredients get soaked, the better they taste. The mixture will be stored for the fruits to soak the alcohol completely before we open it on December 20 to prepare the exquisite Christmas cakes, which will be available at our coffee shop during the festive season.”

The cake mixing ceremony is an annual event hosted by Radisson Noida to usher in the good tides and happiness for the approaching festive season, well before the season starts.
